PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Our complete PET plastic washing line is an ideal solution for the recycling business. This fully automated, turnkey solution processes baled PET bottles into contaminant-free PET flakes. These plastic flakes can be sold for high prices to manufacturers of polyester staple fiber or can be pelletized into granules for use in manufacturing other PET products. Our company’s PET plastic washing line has been recognized by a wide range of users, providing special solutions for the needs of different customers. This plastic bottle washing line also provides customers with a good equipment experience.
While our standard PET plastic washing line is sufficient for most facilities, custom setups with additional machinery and increased capacity can be designed for your specific needs.
WORKING PRINCIPLE Of The plastic washing line
Our PET plastic washing line consists of a series of plastic recycling machines connected using various types of conveyor systems.
Debaler Machine
The first step in our plastic washing line is to break the compacted bales of bottles into a free-flowing stream. Once the bales are “busted”, the bottles can move freely to the next machine.
Trommel
Secondly, the bottles go through the trommel in the plastic washing line. the trommel is a rotating tunnel lined with small holes. Small pieces of contamination can fall through it. Then the PET bottles move to the next part of the plastic bottle washing line.
Wet Plastic Granulator
Our plastic granulator machine cuts the PET bottles into small flakes. The flakes are between 10-15mm in size. With water constantly spraying into the cutting chamber. This wet granulation process pre-treats and partially cleans the material. After that, flakes move to the next equipment of the plastic bottle washing line.
Air Classifier
Air classification is a way to separate lighter materials from heavier ones. We use the classifier in order to remove contaminations away from PET flakes. In this way, we can clean them easily. The classifier is necessary for the plastic bottle washing line as the cleaner flakes sell better.
Sink/ Float Separation Tank
The tank uses water as a medium. It separates some materials that float from the others. In the case of plastic bottle recycling, PET plastic will sink. Meanwhile, plastic film (bottle labels) and PP/PE plastic(bottle caps) will float. After that, A screw conveyor at the bottom of the tank moves the PET plastic to the next piece of equipment.
Hot Washer System
If you use the Hot Washer System to wash the PET flakes, they will be of higher value. Mostly, the system is more popular than a cold washer system. Because this system dissolves glues and leftover things that are difficult to remove in a cold one. For example, glue labels on the bottles or food in them. Although you can just use water in the hot washer system, adding washing agents can gain better results.
Friction Washer
The high-speed friction washer is not too expensive. But it can remove dirt and debris that are hard to move from the PET flakes. So, this friction is used in most plastic washing lines.
Dewatering Machine
Our centrifugal dewatering machine removes a large portion of water from the PET flakes. It works with centrifugal force. The dewatering machine helps the dryer work better. As a result, It is very important in the drying process. Moreover, it helps the plastic bottle washing line work better.
Thermal Dryer
Then, PET flakes travel down a series of stainless steel tubes mixed with hot air in the dryer. This process removes remaining moisture by dehydration. A cyclone separator mixes the PET flakes with cool air. So the plastic bottle washing line can store them in the product silo then.
Product Silo
Finally, the flakes drop into the product silo. It‘s a storage tank. And it can store the clean dry PET flakes.
Pelletizer/ Extruder
Most factories use PET flakes to manufacture polyester fibers. However, we do have customers requiring plastic pelletizing machines such as our single-screw extruder pelletizers and twin-screw extruder pelletizers.
